Hey all. As you may know, Fuzz and Protools along with the Crystal Method are hosting a contest to remix a Crystal Method track. Mine is up and jumpin', the only one in the dnb vein and it's hot (if you ask me). I hope that you'll all check it out and vote for it. You can vote for more than one, so get over there and vote. There are even incentives to vote for many tracks day after day, so exploit it and enjoy the tunes.

Funny tidbit, a couple don't even use the original - no re in the remix.

So, mine's super dope and I deserve to win (I certainly could use the gear upgrade). Help a fellow producer out.

I'm happy to say that the cats of Fiction City (http://fictioncity.fuzz.com/) were kind enough to ask me to make a remix of one of their tunes of my choosing. I picked a lovely tune by the name "My Whatever" of which the original is available on their page - http://fictioncity.fuzz.com/. I slowed it down and added a lot of ambience, jazz and classical sounds. It was really a fun project to dig into and I greatly enjoyed and appreciate the opportunity.

Now that I've broken ground in the remix world, feel free to hit me up to create a mix of one of your tunes if you'd like.

As always, thank you for tuning in and I hope you enjoy.
A very special thanks as well to Fiction City

Hi all. Obviously selling songs on Fuzz is a rare occasion. That's cool, I'm not here to get rich. I am now allowing free downloads of "Locusts in Love", "Layton's Easy" and through the Gate" in the hopes of getting some more exposure. They are MP3 format. You are welcome to DL and play them for friends. If you choose to play them in a set if you DJ, I would highly appreciate you contacting me and getting a lossless version of the track you desire. I look forward to the first time I hear someone play one of my tunes while I'm out and about, but if it's MP3 format, I'll know and I'll cringe and shudder (yes, I'm an audio quality snob like that). So, please feel free to DL and play them around. I hope to get more and more positive feedback from all of you. Please contact me here for information on how to acquire the lossless files. I will make them available in your desired format.
Thank you and enjoy.
Happy listening,

Hey out there in Fuzz land. If for any reason you are really liking Locusts in Love (or not liking) please be aware that the file is somehow damaged on Fuzz. I have attempted to reload the original with no luck. there is a white noise-like buzz that is very noticeable when the song starts and not as noticeable throughout the rest, but there. This is not in the recording and sorry about that. I will attempt to delete the song and reload from scratch in a bit and comment back if it fixes. If I can't fix it, and you are thinking of buying it, please let me know, I'll send you the clean file. Thanks again for tuning in and keep coming back. There's always more coming out of my tortured, musical mind...lol.

Much love and warm regards,
Joshua

This is not a final product and I'd love to hear some feedback. Please give it a listen and post comments here or by private message. I'd really appreciate some critiques. The cymbals need work for sure, but what do you think? Any feedback welcome. I can take constructively harsh if that's what you got. thanks again for tuning in and keep listening for more. It's been a bit since I posted, but life is busy. I hope to post more tracks soon.

...it's been about a month since I started posting my tunes online. I've had great responses so far and absolutely no negative feedback which is just about enough for me to be tickled pink. With two tracks (nearly) finished and posted and more in the pipe, I'm liking production more and more. I'd have to say that the pinnacle moment in producing is that point when a track turns from aural drivel into an interesting piece of music that I am excited about creating. Music is very emotional to me and is an outlet for pent up energies and frustrations. While my first productions are rather simple in composition by my standards, they well represent how I feel and how I approach music. I dislike overcomplications. I dislike redundancies. I like concise music that is driving towards it's goals without all the fluff. I'm looking forward to adding more tracks shortly, so keep an eye out for them. As always, thank you for listening and hit me up if you have any questions about what I'm doing.
